Job Summary |
Under the general direction of the Director of Housing and
Residence Life, the Associate Director of Housing, Administration and Finance,
serves as a leadership team member of the department, sharing responsibility
for servicing a residence hall housing program of 1800 students with an
annual operating budget of over sixteen million dollars. Incumbent has direct
management responsibility for the administration of the housing administrative
services and directs all activities related to finance and budget, data
management, resident data and data analysis, client relations, and support
services. This administrator is responsible for the management of the Housing
Administrative and Finance Unit which includes administering the academic
year housing application, licensing assignment and marketing processes for
1800 and Summer Conference marketing, contracting, billing and staffing. Collects
and monitors all pertinent application and payment statistics that are
necessary for making concise judgments of occupancy projections and is also
responsible to ensure that housing statistical information is properly
archived for future reporting requirements. Provides expense information,
reports and financial analysis to the Director for the determination of
occupancy trends, income targets and budget projections. Other
duties as assigned. |

Essential Qualifications |
A Bachelors
degree from an accredited college or university and
a minimum of three years progressively responsible experience in the
Administrative and/or Finance unit of a university housing program. Experience developing, implementing and
monitoring a department unit budget. Comprehensive knowledge of the Housing
application and assignment processes. Basic understanding of the residential
management system automated housing software. Ability to independently
interpret, communicate and apply these policies and procedures. Ability to
communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Also required is an
understanding of the University Admission's applicant processing and the
ability to relate enrollment statistics to housing occupancy trends. Ability
to gather a variety of statistical information related to occupancy and
enrollment in order to determine trends, make comparisons and develop valid
conclusions and recommendations. A working knowledge of Windows 2007,
MSOffice 2007, CMS, Web Design. Basic understanding and ability to use
CMS/People Soft for Human Resources, Purchasing and Finance. |

Preferred Qualifications |
Ability to effectively supervise Administrative Unit
support and student staff. Ability to cultivate and maintain a positive and
productive working atmosphere in the department. |
