Job Title: Executive Chef, Residential Dining Services
Location:
Position Description: The Executive Chef serves as a member of the Dining Management Team in Housing & Residential Services under the general direction of the Director of Residential Dining Services, leading the culinary efforts of the department and university through personnel education and training, product development, research, demonstration and audit. As the culinary expert of the department, will provide leadership, and guidance in reaching the correct culinary formula; combining the right mix of qualified personnel and products to attain established operating standards of excellence for all food service operations.
As a key member of the senior dining management team, the Executive Chef participates in department projects, solves problems related to the production units and other areas of the department and demonstrates leadership in intradepartmental teams and committees
Qualifications: A culinary arts degree with at least 10 years of industry & culinary management experience as a working chef. The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer service is essential to success in this role, as is excellent culinary creativity, and the ability to translate current restaurant industry trends to a university/campus program setting. Previous experience with food & labor cost controls, demonstration cooking, menu development and culinary team training and leadership preferred. An ability to motivate, inspire, and influence a large team in a highly decentralized environment is required. Must be trained in the use of large-scale foodservice equipment. P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience is desirable.

Compensation: $54,456 -$87,072 depending on experience
