CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR THE 2017-18 EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

Are you looking to be more involved in WACUHO?  Have you been debating on whether or not to “take the risk” and run for an executive committee position?  Well, the time has come!  WACUHO wants and needs your uniqueness, charisma, and talent!

Nominate a colleague, nominate yourself, or ask a colleague to nominate you for the upcoming 2017-18 Executive Committee!

Check out the Leadership Manual and By-Laws for a full description of the positions listed below. This is your opportunity to gain new experiences, provide leadership to our organization, and make new connections (and friends)!

Nominations are due by 5:00 PM on February 24, 2017

If you are nominating a colleague, please speak to them in advance to ensure they are interested.

Drive in Conferences Friday, February 3, 2017
Northern Region:

  • New year, new professional development and connection opportunities! The WOW Northern CA Drive in Conference at UC Santa Cruz on February 3rd is a great opportunity for that!
  • The WoW Northern Drive-In will feature Dr. Chicora Mills as the Keynote Speaker. Chicora’s research interests include the intersections of higher education policy, gender identity and ethnic identity.

We are launching our first book club! Year of Yes. Our first discussion will be Jan 19th. You can also listen to Shonda Rhimes narrate by downloading the audiobook!WoWBook Club (1)

WACE
It’s not too early to start thinking about submitting a program for WACE! We are hoping to expand the WoW Track at WACE with some more programs around the advancement, empowerment, and connection of women. Stay tuned for more information regarding WACE events and the WoW Awards!
