CSUSB’s Obershaw DEN is the campus food bank, which delivers emergency nourishment to the CSUSB and surrounding communities. In addition to food, The DEN also provides students with hygiene and toiletry products. Partnering with other local charities and establishments, The DEN helps students achieve academic success, meet their personal and professional goals, as well as works to provide students with further sustainable/permanent resources.
As part of SRAP 2017 Philanthropy, we are asking that delegations contribute to The DEN by donating non-perishable food items, toiletries, and other hygiene products. The items that are in the most need are:
- Food items needed: canned meat (tuna, chicken, etc.), peanut butter, canned fruit of any kind, fruit cups, pudding cups, individual applesauce, mac and cheese cups, ravioli cups, heat and eat soups, and other individually packaged food that can go into a day pack of food for students.
- Hygiene items needed: deodorant, razors, shaving cream, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and lotion.
